Katie grew up in the small town of Renfrew. It was her parents, 3 sisters, and herself. They lived out in the country so we're always out exploring the forest and of course "trying" to get along.
Her love for animals started at a young age, from the neighborhood dogs and cats roaming, to feeding the seagulls bread at her grandparents' house off of their deck with them. Any chance she could get she was near an animal.
After high school she started her first job at Pet Valu, here in Arnprior and worked there for a couple of years before going to College to become a Medical Receptionist/Ward Clerk where she had graduated and been working at a doctor's office in the Hospital. In 2019 she was pregnant with her first baby, a girl. While off on maternity leave, COVID had just begun and she didn't feel comfortable going back to the hospital setting so found her way back to the petcare industry as a receptionist.
Katie enjoys spending time with her daughter Mia, bonus daughter Lyla and hubby Adam. They have a 10 year old boxer, Kane. Who doesn't get the understanding of aging she says.
