ictoria has loved animals ever since she can remember, and interacted with them as much as possible, more than humans anywhere her family went to in fact! In highschool, she co-oped at a kennel, where she first got experience in caring for pets in a professional setting.
After high school, she spent more than 5 years working in retail and going to school, as she explored her career options. Working at an animal care center strengthened her interest for veterinary medicine and helped make her decision to go to school to become a vet tech. In 2018, she started the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus's 2 year Ver Tech program and the registration to become an RVT.
She has worked in small animal practice since 2020 and joined the team at Gillies Grove Animal Hospital this Fall. She enjoys helping clients give their pets the best care possible, and working with the rest of the team. She keeps her knowledge current and expanded through continuing education, and her areas of interest include behaviour, pain and weight management, and nutrition.
Victoria now lives in Renfrew with her husband, his grandmother,and young daughter, with the hope of adding a dog or two in the near future. When she’s not helping pets in or outside of work, she is at home spending time with her family and dabbling in the arts, and the outdoors.
